Adult Volunteers (18+)

Adult Volunteers

Our Scout group is entirely run by volunteers.

We have our uniformed adult leaders who organise and run the weekly meetings and weekend events for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

Also we have our executive committee who work behind the scenes, taking charge of all the administrative and strategic responsibilities required to run a Scout group.

Volunteering is fun and rewarding. You will be able to make a difference to the lives of young people, while learning new skills and making new friends. The Scout association has a wide ranging and in-depth training scheme, so no experience is required – just an enthusiasm to help young people get the most out of their time with the Scouts!

We are always on the look out for new adult volunteers, particularly uniformed Scout leaders.

If you want to find out more about becoming an adult volunteer, please fill in the form on our Contact page.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
