Skills for Life

We are the 3rd Harpenden Scout Group

We offer boys and girls aged from 6 to 14 the chance to join in, make new friends, take up new challenges, learn new skills, and most of all have fun!

One of the three oldest Scout groups in Harpenden, we meet at our hut opposite the duck pond on Southdown road. We also have a fantastic outside space around the hut which can be used for games, activities, open fires, and camping out!

We also take part in many exciting activities and events, both within the local district and beyond.

Adult volunteers

The Scouts award-winning training scheme for volunteers means that adults get as much from Scouts as young people.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
